Shri Prashant Kumar is an esteemed officer of the Jharkhand Police Service, currently holding the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy. SP). In addition to his dedicated service in law enforcement, he is widely recognized as a distinguished social worker. At the remarkable age of 21, Shri Kumar was honored by the President of India for his outstanding contributions to social work. In 2016, he assumed the role of President of the National Service Scheme (NSS) at BIT Mesra, leading a dedicated team of over 1000 volunteers. His tenure witnessed the initiation of impactful programs such as Nukkad awareness, Free engineering coaching, and Computer learning initiatives for villagers. Collaborating with Birla CSR, he spearheaded endeavors like Plantation drives, Skill development, and Health camps in rural areas. Shri Kumar's commitment to community welfare extends to organizing blood donation drives and advocating for organ donation nationwide. Recognized for his exceptional efforts, he received the 'VISAKA Award' in 2017 from the Union HRD and MeitY, Law Ministers, in acknowledgment of his cashless awareness campaign. Beyond his professional pursuits, Shri Kumar is an independent writer, poet, and public speaker. Acknowledging his holistic contributions, the Government of India selected him to represent the Indian Youth Delegation in the Republic of South Korea. Shri Prashant Kumar's multifaceted endeavors exemplify his unwavering dedication to both public service and social upliftment.
